Privacy Policy

Short version: ReturnMate does not read your email inbox and does not connect to your bank. You add purchases yourself, they live on your device, and you can export or delete all of it at any time.
What we store
The purchases, receipts, return deadlines and refund records you enter are stored on your device. If you enable device backup or sync, they are also included in your own iCloud or Google account backup, under your control.
Magic fill and receipt scanning
When you use Magic fill (a Pro feature), the receipt photo or order email you choose is sent to our processing service so the store, items, prices and return window can be extracted. It is used for that extraction only, is not used to train models, and is not retained after the result is returned to your device. Everything else in the app works without leaving your device.
What we do not do
- We do not scan your inbox in the background.
- We do not connect to your bank or card accounts.
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not build advertising profiles from your purchases.
Analytics and crash reports
We collect aggregated, non-identifying usage and crash data to find bugs and understand which features are used. This can be turned off in the app's settings.
Your controls
- Lock the app with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode.
- Export everything to CSV or PDF at any time.
- Delete your data by deleting it in the app, or by removing the app from your device.
Children
ReturnMate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the app.
